Job Description

 

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of employment-related legal legislation ensures compliance with government reporting
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward company goals and an effective hand-off to operations.
  • Prepare and process payroll using ADP, while adhering to established pay cycles and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate employee related records such as new hires, changes in salary, promotions, leaves, and terminations on internal HRIS and benefits portal.
  • Facilitates and documents employee engagement meetings.
  • Responds to employee inquiries of moderate complexity regarding policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Manages non-exempt recruiting activities and exempt recruiting through first-level supervisory roles, including organizing and executing job fairs.
  • Conduct employee investigations and recommend appropriate resolution.
  • Manages leave of absence process, unemployment claims and hearings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

 

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
