The Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing or coordinating resources and supervision of all maintenance, facility work, and personnel.

What you will be doing: 

  • Supervises employees assigned to the maintenance team
  • Supports management with maintenance needs to allow the facility to meet customer goals daily
  • Performs maintenance for the assigned building and equipment managing the facility maintenance program
  • Coordinates all required support for repair or procurement of equipment for the account.
  • Observes all safety procedures to make certain that hazardous waste is properly disposed
  • Analyzes, diagnoses, and recommends correction for equipment problems and breakdowns
  • Leads the facilities preventive maintenance program
  • Provides frequent on call/after hours commitment when onsite shift skill set is not available
  • Other duties as required and assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university preferred
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in conveyor, electrical, plumbing, building systems, HVAC, and general maintenance
  •  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization as well as various levels of the customer’s organization
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to interpret schematics and effectively use electrical diagnostic instruments.

 

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee  is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. He/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. He/she must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.  He/she is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
