Your role on the team:
The points below highlight the Training Supervisor duties:
- Develops training plans and processes to be implemented by Training Coordinators
- Monitors training activities to ensure all weekly scheduled training is conducted
- Develops metrics to evaluate training effectiveness; modifies training content or delivery method to meet training objectives
- Develops new training programs when needed, such as related to Value Added Services
- Compiles report to management of training statistics with recommendations for successful training activities
- Supervises employees including: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Other duties as required and assigned
What projects will you work on in this role?
- You will develop metrics to evaluate training effectiveness; modifies training content or delivery method to meet training objectives. You will develop new training programs when needed, such as related to Value Added Services. You will also compile a report for the management of training statistics with recommendations for successful training activities.
What you need:
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant training experience in warehouse; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience conducting training on warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks, reach truck forklift, sit down forklift and order picker
- Knowledge of safety compliance for operating equipment
- PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization
- Ability to develop, write and proof training materials
- Proven presentation and facilitation skills
