Sr Solutions Manager

The Sr Solutions Manager has accountability for leading a multi-functional work team with the goal of developing winning, accurate, implementable and profitable contract logistics solutions.

Your role on the team:

  • Manages a client solution through scope discovery, gathering data, modeling, internal review, and client approval
  • Develops client transportation management system solutions including billing, reporting and visibility
  • Guides the business and organization through product setups, integration best practices, and client interviewing strategies
  • Defines and justifies the business case of the Solution to the customer and internal groups
  • Documents the technical and functional specifications of the TMS Solution and reports to appropriate internal and external groups
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on TMS packages including Mercury Gate
  • Interfaces with other supply chain systems including warehouse management systems to facilitate a comprehensive solution across business units
  • Presents proposed solutions to customers and senior leadership
  • Develops client product offerings in partnership with external and internal developers
  • Leads client meetings as the Subject Matter Expert
  • Produces and updates client solution design throughout the sales cycle and handover to implementation
  • Manages client expectations by providing expert functional and product recommendations
  • Leads the relationship with Business Development in identifying or qualifying leads
  • Manages Solutions Engineers, Analysts, and Managers to include: interviewing, training, performance evaluation, coaching, and guidance
  • Other duties as required and assigned

What you need: (requirements)

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years related experience and/or training with Transportation Management Systems, supply chain, or 3PL; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 4 year’s experience with Mercury Gate TMS product
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Operations experience preferred
  • PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
