Your role on the team:
- Serves as source of information and guidance to Accounts Payable Coordinators; Provides support to coordinators as needed, managing more complex and escalated inquiries; Assists with training of coordinators
- Interacts directly with vendors and systems to troubleshoot invoice issues and seek direct resolution
- Prepares and processes accounts payable checks and electronic payments
- Researches questions regarding accounts payable from vendors, operations personnel and others
- Documents accounts payable policies and procedures; Supports adherence to company policy, rules, and regulations
- Electronically files and maintains paid accounts payable invoices
- Reconciles vendor accounts and reporting for audit purposes
- Responsible for travel and entertainment expense auditing in P2P software
- Assists in creating and coordinating AP Coordinator KPIs reporting; Generates and audits Coordinator batch payment journals
- Assists Accounts Payable Supervisor and/or Manager creating and testing processes with system changes; able to serve as project coordinator
- Other duties as required and assigned
What you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable software, procure to pay software and/or logistics or TMS software
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Intermediate Excel skills required
- Prior experience training others preferred
Bonus if you have:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
