Job Description
Open role is for 2nd shift - Monday - Friday - 5:00 pm - 1:30 am
Job Duties: -
· Conducts forklift, safety and Pit B training programs for employees
· Conducts scheduled training for all functions in the account for all shifts
· Arranges and oversees weekly orientation session in basic safety training for new employees
· Evaluates training effectiveness to ensure employees meet strategic goals and achieve results
· Makes recommendations to the managers for go or no go into the account
· Maintains and updates ISO files
· Sets up and maintains Safety Sam folders
· Creates monthly safety topics to be administered by Operations
· Performs safety drills
· Organizes and oversees annual safety week
· Organizes and oversees Top Gun set up and training
· Maintains, renews, and tracks forklift training certification status for personnel
· Assists new employees in on boarding, to include: new user logins, passwords, equipment and barcode creation
· Logs trouble tickets with the Corporate IT department and follow ups to ensure quick resolution
· Other duties as required and assigned
Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
· Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant training experience in warehouse; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Experience operating equipment, such as electric pallet jacks, reach truck forklift, sit down forklift and order picker
· Knowledge of safety compliance for operating equipment
· PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization
· Ability to develop and proof training materials
· Proven presentation and facilitation skills
Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
