Your role on the team: (job description)

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, such as acquiring new clients needing customs clearance, trade compliance, or integrated 3PL solutions involving brokerage.

  • Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of sales executives, account managers, or brokers focused on customs/import-export accounts 

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key national or strategic accounts

  • Developing and executing a national sales strategy to grow revenue and market share for customs brokerage services, including setting targets, forecasting, and aligning with overall company goals.

  • Travels up to 50%
  • Other duties as required and assigned

 

What you need: (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics or related area of study from a 4-year college or university
  • Minimum 7 experience as a sales executive in Third-Party Logistics (3PL); or an equivalent combination of education and training
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Freight Forwarding industry
  • Record of excellent sales performance results in the applicable market
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to work with internal groups to solve problems on the behalf of customers and prospects
  • Ability to negotiate profitable partner relationships (contracts) with regional, and national logistics clients
