Job Description

A Master scheduler’s role is more than just composing plans that fulfill customer demand, balancing operational constraints of our business; the role demands leadership capabilities, good interpersonal skills, and a high level of operational creatively.

Primary Duties
* Be a partner with upstream and downstream operational teams to have all materials in place and available for production.
* Develop sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity and contingency planning (i.e. Alternative sourcing)
* Determines appropriate order quantities to balance demand and financial resources.
* Responsible for replenishment of materials, partnering with PACS materials team for proper delivery of materials while monitoring lead times, order quantities, and storage requirements.
* Provide input into the strategic sourcing process (including documentation collection, regulatory, sample review, financial audit) and make recommendations, partnering with PACS Materials team.
* Lead production meetings to assess and convey changes or updates to the production plan.
* Supervision of specific planning associates, to include directing day-to-day activities, development and reviews, as well as one-on-one reviews as required.
* Ensure volume, pricing, delivery terms and conditions are followed.
* Work with suppliers to develop prototypes and/or samples using value engineering principles.
* Execute contract negotiation strategies; supports final contract negotiations and implementation.
* Communicates with customer planners to plan weekly production schedules.
* Uses scheduling tools to analysis and create production plans that are achievable with the intent to increase efficiency, improve customer service, decrease waste, and lower costs.
* Tracks delivery performance and response time and handles capacity planning and assorted logistics project.
* Manage invoice discrepancies with accounting.

Minimum Requirements
* Minimum 3 - 5-year related experience with Scheduling, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management and or Inventory Management experience.
* 3 - 5 years with Supplier Management and or Project Management experience.
* 3+ years with cross -functional Team Management experience.
* Experience in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Experience with WMS, Kronos timekeeping, and labor management systems
* Experience with SAP. GWMS and Nulogy and Forecast, Capacity planning.

Essential Skills
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
