What you will be doing:

  • Development, integration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment controls systems, interfaces and networks.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of all equipment
  • Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment such as: motors, pneumatic, conveyor, blending, scaling, filling, cartooning, coding/printing, electrical, compressed air, vacuum hydraulic and bulk-filling systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems related to production and plant support equipment ranging from single phase to three phase equipment along with voltages ranging from 5VDC – 480 VAC
  • Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layouts
  • Troubleshoot electrical wiring, relay logic, control and safety circuits
  • Troubleshoot electronic boards, PLC;s, touch screens, displays, contactors, motors
  • Design and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to power transmissions, chain and belt drives, cams, bearings, and actuators
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic controls and components
  • Teardown and rebuild gearboxes, clutches, actuators, and other assembles related to equipment repairs
  • Fabricate and/or weld parts, guarding, and parts modifications for equipment repairs and improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills: 

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write work orders, parts requests, shift logs, routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training
  • Experience with PLC and VFD
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, building systems, HVAC, and general maintenance
  • Rockwell Automation Logix Programmer Certificate preferred
  • Experience with power tools, lifts, and hoists
  • Intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
