Your role on the team: (job description)
- Logs all orders booked and all work performed onto dispatch sheet
- Dispatches all runs in a timely manner to ensure deliveries are made as scheduled
- Provides customers with accurate and timely information regarding activity
- Assists Terminal Manager in all phases of managing the operation
- Assigns vehicles according to factors such as length and purpose of trip, freight requirements,
and preference of user - Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return
- Investigates overdue vehicles
- Directs activities of drivers via call or texts per our customers' requirements
- Monitors and ensures facility key performance indicators (KPI) are met in a timely and cost effective manner to ensure the profitability and productivity of the distribution center
- Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged
merchandise - Leads through example in maintaining the safety and 5S physical properties of the multi-site operations
- Works with customer on requested projects and inquiries. Effectively communicates results to customer and campus and regional leadership.
- Participates in monthly business reviews and provides Inventory Control results and any actions being taken to improve

What you need: (requirements)
- Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training
- Prior Dispatching experience in a fast-moving environment preferred
- Critical Understanding/Emphasis on time-sensitive deliveries dealing with medications, specimens
Essential Skills:
- Ability to solve problems in a quick manner, as time is of the essence
- Geographical understanding and comprehension a plus
- Certifications in HIPPA Training & Blood Borne Pathogen Training a plus
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manual
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals
Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle,
or feel.
- The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally
lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate
climate conditions.
